We strongly believe that the ignorance of Islamic faith is a main source of a problem on both sides. Non-Muslims beliefs that those who follow Islamic Shariah are less tolerant and prone to violence and hostility toward others especially toward non-Muslims. This is misconception and wrong understanding. Muslims themselves share greater parts of blames in creating this misconception because they display the wrong picture of Islam by their wrong actions and behaviors due to lack of the understanding of their faith.
A Muslim person who properly understands the correct teachings of Islamic faith would be honest and upright, peaceful, gentle, and calm person by nature who acts toward others with kindness, compassion, love, peace, mercy, and concerns for wellbeing’s of whole humanity regardless of their faith, race, gender, and nationality. Teaching the Correct Islamic beliefs to both Muslims and Non-Muslims will increase not only the understanding of Islamic faith but it will both Muslims and Non-Muslims understanding one another and help remove wrong perceptions non-Muslims have about Islam and help Muslims not to put out the wrong image of Islam by their wrong behaviors and actions.
Therefore, Enhancing understanding of Islamic faith will promote peace. Islam teaches the unity of God, unity of faith and the unity of origin of mankind.
“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allah through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All Watcher over you. (Quran Chapter 4: Verse 1).
In other verse we read Say (O Muslims), “We believe in Allah (God) and that which has been sent down To us ( it references to the messages brought by all these prophets) and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ’il (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya’qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring Twelve sons of Ya’qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him We have submitted (in Islam)(Quran chapter 2.Verse 136).
Finally, we believe peace is a foundation of all good things, without which societies could not able to progress socially or economically. That is why we believe it is critical that we create an environment where we all can learn from one another, foster human connection through mutual understanding and concern for the well-being of one another and advance the cause of peace, co-operation, and social justice for the benefit of whole humanity.
